Our Crochet 101 class will get you started on your crochet adventure! Learn the basic crochet stitches on a potholder in class and leave with enough techniques to start your first project: a scarf, a blanket, a bag or more! If you pick up the techniques quickly, your potholder can become a scarf! Be sure to enroll early as the class size is limited to 8 students. Upon enrollment, you will be e-mailed a short shopping list for class. Special note: $3 materials fee is paid at class for detailed take-home instruction packet. We'll provide some snacks, but bring along your bag lunch. Pictured: Sample of Vanessa's handiwork.

Vanessa Alsondo studied art at the High School of Art & Design and The Art Students League, both in New York City. Currently she resides in Washington, DC, working on her crocheted accessories business, Ninnycat New York City, and preparing to jump into a culinary adventure with Ninny Honeybee, an online organic bakery.
