Peter Mandel is the author of nine books and a travel journalist who regularly contributes feature articles and photos to The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, National Geographic 'Kids,' The Dallas Morning News, and others. He won a national Lowell Thomas award from the Society of American Travel Writers last year. Mandel also teaches the "Write Your Children's Book" workshop at First Class.
