This course will teach you powerful graphic design techniques that will help you build Web sites that are attractive and highly effective. You'll learn what attracts visitors to a site, and how you can create the most satisfying experience for those visitors. You'll learn to use typography, aesthetics, color, graphics, and page layout to create the most compelling user interface possible, and you'll understand how users read on the Web and the characteristics of effective Web writing.

Dr. Patricia C. Franks, a frequent presenter at workshops and conferences on the local, state, and national level—brings her extensive background in business and education to this course. She has over 20 years of experience as a college educator, teaching courses in business, Web development, information management, and e-commerce. Franks was awarded a New York State Chancellor's Award for her creative efforts in curriculum design and teaching.

Important: The online courses are 6 weeks long and two lessons are released per week (on Wednesday and Friday). You do not need to be present when the lessons are released. The online courses require a strong commitment from each student as they are designed to pick up where our two hour seminars leave off. Once you enroll, you will be sent an E-mail on how to select a username and password for your online class.
